Mountain Wave Repair and Camp Weekend

Due to flood damage, ARSA is hosting a camp, wave repair, surf and paddle weekend instead of the Mountain Wave Classic surf competition. The Mountain Wave Competition may happen in September this year.

We invite people to come and help out with moving rocks, filling sandbags when the water is off on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, to continue to improve the wave quality, reinforce the berms, remove hazards etc. Please wear work or hiking boots, work gloves, helmet, expect your feet to get wet, and bring shovels and pry-bars.

Donated labour counts as cash towards our wave grant.

Huge thank you once again to Ed Meyer and Able Demolition for all their work, leadership and tools.

The wave is currently surfable but will change after every work period. Bring foamies or bigger boards, kayaks and SUPs! The may quality may increase or decrease or stay the same after every change.

We are raising funds for a machine in the fall to do larger scale repairs. These funds will be doubled as part of the CFEP grant for the adjustable Kananaskis Wave. We need to raise an estimated $6000. If anyone has ideas for potential large scale donors/sponsors please contact president@albertariversurfing.com.
